George was born on February 23, 1964 to his parents Orlando and Martina Diaz. He had an older
sister named Maria and an older brother named Orlando.
George came from a very large family and close knit family. He spent a lot of time growing
up with his niece (the daughter of his older sister) Maria. Only 5 years older than she was he took on the role of older brother
more than that of an uncle.
George grew up and resided in New York City, where he was part of the New York City Police
Auxilary Crew up until the time when he moved to Miami, Florida together with his mother, sister and niece. While in
Miami, George immediately went to work as a security guard before persuing his dream to work in the medical field. And soon
after became a paramedic at one of the most prestigious islands located in Miami Beach, Florida.
A couple of years after living in Miami, George met the woman that would become his wife, Idania. In 1988
they were married and together had 2 beautiful children, Jorge and Emmanuel. George went on to continue his education
and eventually earned a nursing degree. He loved to help people and this field was one that afforded him that opportunity.
George had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh. Sometimes his humor would be a bit
untimely but despite how frustrated you may get with him at the moment it would always seem to accomplish what he set it out
to do and that was make you laugh even when you did not want to laugh.
George loved life. He saw it as an adventure to experience. Despite the hinderances in his life, whatever
obstacles he had to face, he was determined to live his life and live it well. In doing so he created many wonderful memories
with those that he loved and who loved him. Looking back in hindsight now I think he understood what too many of us seem to
forget. Life is too short not to live it to the fullest while you still have it. This is one of the lessons in life that he
taught those around him.
George was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed each and every day, though he will
forever live on in our memories.
